Chinese New Year

Andy and I had a great day today in London for the Chinese New Year celebrations. There was plenty going on with music on two stages. Loads and loads of people. Paper lanterns, fire crackers and paper dragons and loads of red envelopes with money in for good luck. We had a wander around Trafalgar Square and then went to Leicester Square. There were some Dragon dancers and we saw one up very close. We had a cold chinese lunch (it should have been hot) but the temperature was zero degrees. On the drive home it snowed.

Sev has been getting himself fit ready for joining the Navy. Andy, Sev and Alice and I all played badminton on Friday night. It was fun. I was a bit stiff to start with, but soon got warmed up and really got into the game.

Barbara and Trevor came round after Andy met them in a shop to buy Trevor a cardigan for his birthday. They stopped for a lovely leg of lamb roast followed by a fantastic home made trifle. Unfortunately I managed to break four bowls from our new dinner set which was really gutting as it was only the second time of using it! Oh well. We will just have to try and buy another set.

This weekend we have picked up three photographs from studios where we recently had our photos taken. Once I have them scanned and loaded I will put them up on this blog.

Hi there, Shannon from(RetroChik) from Swap-Bot dropping by.

I was born during the year of the Rooster. I have always thought it would be so cool to watch a Chinese New Year celebration.
